Jira Cloud webhook

Highest and High issues created, and issues moved to a status you choose.

Setup

1. In PingLoom open Webhooks, choose New webhook source, pick Jira Cloud and create it. Copy the endpoint URL and the signing secret.
2. In Jira open Settings, System, WebHooks, Create a WebHook (you need Jira administrator rights).
3. Paste the endpoint URL into URL and the signing secret into Secret.
4. Under Events tick Issue created and Issue updated. Use the JQL filter to choose what is sent, for example priority in (Highest, High) for new issues, or status = Blocked to hear only about moves to Blocked.
5. Save the webhook.

Verification

Jira administrator webhooks with a secret send X-Hub-Signature as sha256=<hex HMAC of the raw body>. Jira cannot show the secret again after you save, so keep PingLoom's copy. Jira Data Center and Connect app webhooks are not covered.

Events

You choose which events become alerts when you create the source, and you can change it later on the source page.

PingLoom shows the new status name, not who moved the issue.
