Terms of service

Last updated 30 Oct 2026 · Version 0.1

In short: PingLoom sends your server events to your team's phones. Do not rely on it for emergency or life-safety use, and there is no guaranteed delivery time. Dodo Payments handles billing as merchant of record.

  1. 1. Who you are contracting with

PingLoom is operated by [OWNER: legal name of the seller], an individual doing business in India, at [OWNER: postal address] ("we", "us").

By creating an account or using the API you agree to these terms. If you use PingLoom for a company, you confirm you can bind it.

  2. 2. The service

PingLoom accepts events from your servers over an API, stores them, and sends a notification to the devices of people in your workspace. It also provides a shared inbox where people can mark events read and acknowledge them.

Features, limits and plans can change as the product grows. We will not remove a paid feature during a period you have already paid for.

  3. 3. Not for emergency use, and no delivery guarantee

PingLoom is not an emergency, safety or life-critical service. Do not use it where a missed or late notification could cause injury or death.

We store every accepted event and show its status. A status of provider accepted means Google FCM took the message. It does not mean a device received it. Whether and when a phone shows a notification depends on Google, the device and the network, and we give no guarantee of delivery or delivery time.

PingLoom is not an on-call paging service. Do not use it as the only way to learn about critical incidents.

  4. 4. Your account and keys

You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep API keys on servers you control and never put them in a mobile app or browser code. A key is shown once when you create it.

Do not share an account. Tell us at once if you think a key has leaked so it can be revoked.

  5. 5. Acceptable use

You must follow the acceptable use policy. In short: no spam, no unlawful content, no attempts to break or overload the service or other workspaces.

  6. 6. Decisions and your own systems

Where you use decision cards or webhooks, an answer from a person in your workspace may trigger actions in your own systems. You are responsible for who is allowed to answer, for verifying our signatures on what we send you, and for everything your systems do afterwards.

  7. 7. Plans, trial and billing

Prices are shown on the pricing page, in INR or your local currency where offered, with the billing interval, and before applicable tax. Paid plans are sold by Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record: it collects payment, charges and remits sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoice. Its terms also apply to your purchase.

New accounts may get a 14-day trial with no card needed. There is one trial per person or company, and we use hashed identifiers to enforce that. When a trial ends your workspace drops to Free unless you subscribe. Nothing is deleted at that moment.

Subscriptions renew each period until cancelled. You can change plan at any time. If we raise the price of a plan, existing subscribers keep their current price until at least their next renewal after we give you 30 days' notice. [OWNER: confirm grandfathering promise.]

An accepted event counts once against your plan however many devices receive it. Retries and invalid requests do not count. Over your quota the API returns 429.

Refunds and cancellation are covered in the refund policy.

  8. 8. Your data

You own the content you send. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export or delete it from Settings.

  9. 9. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or end access that puts the service or other customers at risk, breaks these terms, or fails to pay, and we will tell you why where we can. You can close your account at any time from Settings.

  10. 10. Warranty and liability

PingLoom is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [OWNER: lawyer to confirm the cap.]

  11. 11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [OWNER: jurisdiction, for example city and state] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer rights that cannot be waived.

We may update these terms. We will change the date and version above and email account holders about material changes. Questions: [OWNER: support email].
